Good Ears works without an account. This page explains, in plain language, what the game stores and who else is involved when you play.
Starting a round, searching for a song, and loading a clip send requests to this site’s server. These requests include standard technical details (IP address, browser type) so the game can respond, and your country so the game only offers songs playable in your territory. We do not build user profiles and we do not use cross-site tracking cookies.
Chart and decade rounds play 30-second previews fetched from Apple’s iTunes preview service, and song reveals link to Apple Music. Those requests are handled by Apple; their handling of such requests is described in Apple’s own privacy policy.
Good Ears is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies and device identifiers to serve, measure and personalize ads. If you are in the EU/EEA, UK or Switzerland, a consent prompt is shown before personalized advertising is enabled, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time using the “Ad privacy choices” link in the footer or through the prompt itself.
You can review and control Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. The ad sellers authorized to sell inventory on this site are listed in ads.txt.
The game requires no account and collects no personal information. Some songs include explicit lyrics as released by the artist; listener discretion is advised.
